School Supplies
Some of our "Traditional Calendar" friends began a new school year today. I fancied up a few basic pencil cases because I find school supplies irresistible!
I used a retired Stampin' Up! set called "Elementary Essentials". As long as I have children in elementary school, I will probably reach for this set again and again.
The boy combo is Bashful Blue/Brilliant Blue.
The girl combo is Melon Mambo and Basic Black.

You're on my Mind
There are three things I love about this card.
1) It is a very simple design that can be duplicated over and over again.
2) It makes use of the "Upsy Daisy" stamp set. I think the main focal image of this set, when stamped in light and dark, looks fabulous!
3) It makes use of the new In Color Melon Mambo which I am pairing often with Pretty in Pink. Love them together!
Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Large Oval Punch, Melon Mambo Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Convention Candy
One web site I keep turning to these days is Stampin' Addicts. It is all (or mostly!) Stampin' Up! and it is filled with positive energy and feelings (no griping allowed).
The ladies who run the site are back from Stampin' Up!'s annual convention in Utah and they have goodies to give away. Check it out!

Cheers to Craig!
Here's one for my youngest brother, Craig, who is celebrating a birthday this weekend! I like the "Cheers to You" stamp set because it adds to my small selection of masculine stamps. But it's also a set with girly options and even wedding wishes options because of the cocktail glass and champagne flute images!
Stamp Set: Cheers to You
Paper: More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive
Ink: White Craft, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard
Accessories: Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch, Jumbo Eyelet, Belnder Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals

An Elegant Thank You
I am in love with the new Designer Series Paper "Cottage Wall". No one is more surprised than I am to find out there is such a large place in my life for Orchid Opulence! To help me work my way through the patterns, I turned to one of my favorite sketch sources, the Mojo Monday blog. A sketch is usually the perfect thing to get me jump started and this week's example was no exception!
Stamp: Elegant Thank You
Paper: Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive, rich Razzleberry, Cottag eWall DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Wide Old Olive Grosgrain

Tea for Two
This birthday tea party invitation began as a stamping project and somehow ended up not having the first swipe of ink on it! Even so, it uses lots of great Stampin' Up! products.
The teapots are front and back layers of last year In Color Pink Pirouette -- one of my top 3 all time favorite In Colors. These invitations were a great excuse to help me blow through the excessive amounts of Pink Pirouette cardstock I purchased as it retired. The Designer Series Paper is also retired -- it's that sweet Candy Lane from Valentine's Day that I reach for over and over again.
I used the Small Oval Punch and the Scalloped Oval Punch and some narrow Very Vanilla grosgrain.
The teapot template can be found online.
