Wild About These, Too!

So here are the party goodie bags. Another friend from the Wild About You stamp set, another piece of Jersey Shore Designer Paper, a dab of Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon and then-- my find of the week. Colored lunchbags at Target (where else???) that match Stampin' Up's Brilliant Blue exactly!

A few wriggly jungle animals and some candy and it was all done!

Wild About This Invitation!

There's so much to tell you about this one! First, it uses the Sale-a-bration set "Lots of Thoughts" on the front. The cardstock is that fabulous Wild Wasabi Textured paper that's part of a special deal right now. Seems there was quite an OOOOPS cutting holiday paper and we are benefitting. I made the pieces into pocket cards.

This invitation is the first time I have used the Jersey Shore Designer Paper and it is so happy and bright. I used the Hugs and Wishes set for the party details on the insert. And I am now the proud owner of the Wild About You. When one of my girly-girls picked an inflatable place with a jungle theme I had an a-ha moment and ordered right away!

Stamp Sets: Wild About You, Lots of Thoughts, Hugs & Wishes
Paper: Wild Wasabi Textured, Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" circle, Striped Pumpkin Grosgrain

Free Rub-Ons!

I really love the set of rub-ons that is one of the *free* choices during Sale-a-bration. You get 4 sheets. the images are identical -- but you get one page of white, one page of black, one page of olive, and one page of chocolate brown. That is a lot of rub-ons!

The quality is first-rate -- they adhere nicely to all kinds of surfaces and don't peel at the edges.

I used the Chocolate here to make a quick and easy 6 x 6 scrapbook page (stop me if you've heard me go on and on at one of my workshops about the freedom of small pages and favorite photos!).

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Rub-ons: Love and Happiness
Accessories: Ribbon Theater Originals

Something to Brag About....

Sometimes it seems like I just don't post enough of my scrapbook work. It may be in part because I am such a lousy photographer and scans of my pages look even worse than the pictures..... Anyway, here's another one of those 6 x 6 "Brag Book" pages I love so much. This page can be completed in (really!) minutes. Since the picture isn't so good it is hard to see the flower background stamped with "Taken with Teal" as well as the little flowers on the title box stamped off in Apricot Appeal.

This page premiered at a workshop today (thanks, Sally!) and will be making other apparances in this post-Valentine's Day "season".

Stamp Set: Time Well Spent
Paper: Taken with Teal, Confetti White, Apricot Appeal
Ink: Classic Black, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Taken with Teal
Accessories: Wide Celery Grosgrain, Silver Brads

More Classroom Treats!

These Valentines have nothing to do with candy at all. We are giving the gift of creativity to the 3 year olds! The boxes of crayons are wrapped in belly bands I rolled through the paper crimper for a little texture. Then I stamped tags with my ultra favorite "Crayon Kids" set. It's been retired for a few years and I think I continue to use it more than ever before! Remember, always buy 'em while you can still get 'em!

Stamp Sets: Crayon Kids, Cold Play (the "to and "from")
Paper: Glorious Green, Whisper White
Ink: Glorious Green
Accessories: Paper Crimper

It's been a Valentine Craft-a-thon around here -- but thankfully treats will begin heading to their destinations tomorrow! That includes this batch of lollipops with covers that are headed to Kindergarten Valentine Mailboxes. The covers are straightforward 5 1/2" X 2 1/2" rectangles stamped on the outside and embellished, with the addition of names and four punched holes so that the ribbons can be tied and the lollies stay put!

Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Scallop Punch, 1/8" handheld punch, blender pens

Special Delivery!

I'm still making Valentine gifts and I'm still altering those little mailboxes from the Dollar Spot at Target! This little pair is headed to Kindergarten next week. The mailboxes themselves are covered in last year's Stampin' Up! Valentine Designer Paper called "Loves Me". I loved it then, I bought tons before it retired and I still love it now. A few pieces of the ribbon are from the coordinating "Flirty" Ribbon originals that retired along with the paper. I've used the Medium Cello Bags (you know, the ones that came with your bundle!) and filled them with Hershey Kisses all wrapped in pink!

Stamp Set: NONE -- no stamping at all!
Paper: Loves Me Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal
Ink: Chocolate Chip (sponged, not stamped)
Accessories: Rose Wide Grosgrain, Flirty Ribbon Originals, Theater Ribbon Originals, On Board Chipboard, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop Punch, Hershey's Kisses(!)

For My Valentine.....

I'm going to send this one to his office just to see if he opens his mail! We generally don't exchange cards (or apparently gifts, flowers, chocolate or any other trinkets!) on Valentine's Day. So this one isn't frilly and doesn't contain sparkly hearts or traditional colors. That makes it sort of my un-Valentine for my un-Valentine. ( The stamp set and the designer paper have both retired, yet remain favorites of mine.)

Stamp Set: Love Matters
Paper: Kraft, Darling Doodles, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Confetti White
Ink: Black Staz-On, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou
Accessories: Jumbo Eyelet, Blue Bayou Stitched Ribbon, Blender Pens, Dimensionals

Here's a fantastic way to make an ordinary candy bar an extra sweet treat. Make it slide! This is a basic candy bar pouch -- with the addition of a piece of ribbon that allows you to slide the candy bar up and out without even untying the bow.

I followed the tutorial at Splitcoast (where else!) and crafted it up in one of my favorite combos -- Pretty in Pink and Close to Cocoa. I've already made a half dozen or more. Hope all my Valentines like them!

A Happy Heart Thank You

I'm a big fan of versatile when it comes to my stamps. While Valentine's Day is the focus of the Happy Heart day set featured in the Valentine Bundle -- the set has a lot of other possibilities. This is a Thank You card that only uses Happy Heart Day. Yes, the "thank you" is part of the set and the font type and size matches my super-fav "Crab & Company" which means those fun creatures are in perfect proportion for Thank You notes as well!

Stamp Set: Happy Heart Day
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Berry Bliss

Playing with Color...

Here is my offering for this week's Color Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers. I love that particular challenge each week because it helps me work outside the (crayon) box -- move away from my favorite combos (when in doubt -- go pink!) and try something new. Exhibit A is this week's combination. if you had sat me down with the Stampin' Up! Catalog and told me not to move until I had created the most unlikely color combo ever -- this might have been it. Apricot Appeal -- Rose Red --and Sage Shadow.

I may never work with it again -- but I am glad I gave it a try!

Stamp Set: Heartfelt Thanks
Paper: Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Rose Red Designer Prints
Ink: Versamark, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red
Accessories: Apricot narrow grosgrain
